I believe the Holiday pay and maximum working hours will apply to UK offshore sometime later this year.

Gordon Brown is pushing hard for it.

As far as i Know the EU working time directive does apply to Offshore installations, its the oil companies who are fighting its implementation, saying the cost would make the North Sea unviable, bullshit really, considering the profits they have made over the last 12 months and the continuing high cost of a barrel of Brent Crude.
