COET upgrade

sorry in case I’m repeating the same questions, but I couldn’t find updated informations about the following:

1) Training centers like FOSC offer a COET upgrade for BOSIET certificates, in order to be recognized as OLF survival certificate. Is such an upgrade really recognized as OLF? Do the training centers provide a real OLF certificate at the end of the course?

2) Is UKOOA valid for the Norway sector? If not, which medical is needed and where it can be obtained in UK?

FALCK NUTEC have an upgrade for the NCS.

You need to be in the possession of a "helseerklaering" for the NCS.

Hi all,

I just got my COET, 5 day Combined Offshore Survival and Firefighting Course…this is basically BOSIET + OLF additional modules, so it is valid in UK and norwegian waters.
As I already had the BOSIET, I just made the OLF upgrade at FOSC, and at the end I got the complete 5 day certificate.

FOSC has great facilities, including accomodation at the campus, and prices are quite cheap compared to other centres.

Very satisfied indeed,
