Commissioning Manager / Supervisor – Newcastle upon Tyne
The Commissioning Manager will have line management responsibility for all commissioning of SMD’s subsea vehicles, personnel, activities, test equipment and dedicated commissioning areas and this may include off site commissioning activities to meet client requirements.
They will liaise with Project Managers, Customer Support Manager and Production to plan commissioning activity and to maintain schedules and to match project delivery requirements.
The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for staff allocation in accordance with their level of competence and updating of monthly reports. They will also be responsible for ensuring safe systems of work are identified, monitored and maintained throughout all commissioning activities.
Candidate Requirements
• Experience of managing a team.
• Hands on experienced Engineer with sound working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good organiser with ability to plan things well in advance.
• Customer friendly and able to appreciate the clients needs.
• Min HNC qualification
• Possible maintenance background.
