    Guys

Looking for some advise on some tooling… Been asked by by the client to mount a 350 kg heavy valve on a BOP choke valve. That means to unscrew 8 double nuts, take off the cap, mount the new valve and then like magic install the bolts and screw on the nuts. We have normal 5F grabber and Schilling Conan on the ROV.

As a diver before I entered the ROV trade, I know that’s fine finger work to align the holes, enter the bolts and screw on the double nuts.

However, looking for advice from anyone if there is any tools out there made for this before we call in a DSV.

    Cheers

    Dude

As much as I hate to say it.

    Call the DSV.

Nae danger of doing the job without a custom designed bit of tooling, which would take a couple of months, at least, to design, manafacture and test.

Even less of a chance with one ROV fitted with Conan. I’m guessin your Oceaneering?
