I’ve just heard a rumor that Les is just taking a bit of time off and a Guy named Craig Baker is filling in for a bit.

Can anyone Confirm this Or has anyone heard different Or Does anyone know Craig as I was suppose to contact Les for possible work.

    If true, Good for Craig.

I worked for him years ago when he was a Superintendent. He has zero tolerance for Bullshit and looked after those who worked hard. Period.

I would not describe him as "boy". 😈

Me thinks, I’ll fire an e-mail that way.

EMAS – US$1000 per day for Supervisor

Fugro TSM – US$1100 per day for Supervisor

Canyon Singapore – US$900 per day for Supervisor

As far as I know none of the above currently have work in Australia, so Aussie based personnel are paying tax, hence the higher day rate from Fugro TSM whose vessels are working in Asia right now.

Watch the rates and personnel jockeying start later this year when their Aussie jobs kick off.

Maybe some Sub Eng and P/T’s can update these companies rates for that pay level.

    Quite right.

While these rates are fairly good for Asia, they are all less than the rate for a P/T (with any company) in Oz, which will start at something over AUD$1300.00 (USD$1350).

And of course the good old (Aussie) government is still taxing you, wherever you are.

Does anyone know who the Workshop Manager/ Asset manager is at EMAS? And does anyone know if they need anyone to work in the shop? I’ll be in Singapore in a few days so I’m looking to swing by see if they have any up coming work.
