    Fugro Survey (Middle East) Ltd (β€œFSME”) is a certified survey company within the Fugro Group, with over 160 employees and operating in accordance with recognised international standards (ISO9001:2000, ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:1999). FSME specialises in the provision of hydrographic and marine surveys, ROV inspection and positioning services. Services are provided to the offshore oil and gas industry, construction companies and the submarine cable industry. FSME is the leading offshore survey company in the Middle East region, promoting the application of new technology and techniques to the survey industry. The working area includes the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea and Red Sea.

    ROV
    position
    FSME are seeking to employ a number of ROV Pilot / Technicians in staff poitions to complement our existing team. The role is priamrily field based working a minimum of 200 days per year on a four-six week rotation basis. Duties will be as follows:

    Knowledge of ROV Team members roles and responsibilities
    Assists the supervision of launch and recovery of ROV System
    Fault finding and maintenance of ROV control and navigation systems
    Perform ROV preventative system maintenance activities
    Navigate the ROV to the worksite and perform general manipulator duties
    Identify and change major hydraulic, electronic and electrical components and perform electrical and mechanical umbilical terminations.

    position requirements
    To be effective in this role the appointed candidate(s) should possess proven skills in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Electrics and Electronics and be familiar with ROV systems, ideally with around two (2) years operational experience with Electro-hydraulic ROVs. The successful candidtaes should possess a thorough understanding of underwater ROV operations and equipment.

    A high degree of initiative and attention to detail is essential and a strong command of written and spoken english is vital. This role requires flexibility and the ability and willingness to work to tight deadlines.

    Can’t believe that despite a Worldwide shortage of experienced ROV guys that companies are still expecting guys to be interested in Shite like this… Oh well pay peanuts… get monkeys….

    The BATHPLUG !! Holy Fu*K ! What a blast from the past πŸ˜† πŸ˜† … Rigworkers ! ….It’s all coming back to me now.. Hey better the ‘bar’ than a valve chest full of yoghurt when the plug pops in just as you latch the sub πŸ™„
