Hello again after a four year absence from this forum.
This is still a great resource, the banter is as wry and funny as it ever was, and this industry is as challenging to break into as it ever was. Or so it would seem…
So, armed with my Marine Engineering Diploma and seatime from the 1980’s, my much more recent Diesel Mechanic qualification, my Offshore Survival ticket (incl HUET – saw that recent SuperPuma ditching thread), Offshore Medical,….. what else?…….ok, ham radio license (ZR6XZ) – I start again – trying to get into this industry.
Probably have to go offshore as something else to make the bread in the meantime – I have been working as a top-class turd-polisher in the time since I last posted here, then it really started going downhill!!
