I note that the IMCA has now formed a limited company, IMCA Trading Ltd, to reap the rewards of it’s endeavours.

Purely on a on profit making basis of course 😉

To be better prepared for the future, the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has incorporated a new company IMCA Trading Ltd. It will carry out all trading activities of the Association, including managing seminars, workshops and events, selling publications and contracting with other parties for work. IMCA represents offshore, marine and underwater engineering companies anywhere in the world.

I have also read about it and I maybe wrong here, but I feel that OPITO and IMCA may possibly, sometime in the future become competitors to a certain degree.

If this does become reality then I foresee more and more money coming out of our pockets and less and less coming in.

I await with bated breath to see if eventually IMCA and OPITO become known as IMOTOPICA.
