If there is still a copy of the discussed software and pegsus manual available I would appreciate a copy of it.
I am having similar issues with a pegasus camera possibly over driving a focal 903 mux resulting in overbright topside pictures, it also seems that either the overlay or HDD/DVD player are overamping the signal anyone had a go at adjusting the gain in a pioneer HDD/DVD player before?

Had you actually looked at the incoming video signal on an o-scope prior to attempting any adjustments? Focal has some adjustments also…. But you must check the signal first.

I think I will leave it alone for the time being as the issue seems to be topside rather than the camera itself or the mux.

I need to learn more about video systems, especially what to be looking for and how to get the desired results, can any of you guru’s out there suggest where to go for the best tutorials, books or e-learning?

Some of the websites I have been looking at are getting far to in depth for my liking, all I really need to know is what to look for with a scope, what it is I am looking at and what adjustments can be made to improve it. Any guidance would be well appreciated.

cheers !! for completeness, spoke to ian,

the long board was the long line amplifier, he agrees that need to disconnect it altogether. If you don’t disconnect it, you have a large board in parallel and get noise up the waaa-zooo !

Problem solved, but nice to have the explanation.
