Hi Folks,
It’s been a while since I last posted; fortunately I’ve been kept busy this year.
I recently found an interesting book on CCTV which may prove useful to both experienced & trainee ROV personnel.
It’s called ” Closed Circuit Television” by Joe Cieszynski, ISBN: 0-7506-5728-6 and I got my copy from Maplin’s Electronics store.
The book provides a good understanding of the basics of CCTV including recording mediums etc.
Chapters include:
Signal Transmission
Light & Lighting
Lenses
Fundamentals of Television
The CCTV camera
Monitors
Recording equipment
Camera switching & multiplexing
Telemetry control
Ancillary equipment
Commissioning & maintenance
All of which, I hope you agree, are directly applicable to our own ROV industry.
