What are some interesting things that people have been able to do with ROV’s? – Any tips or tricks that helped you accomplish something.

    ROV Limitations:
What are some things that you would really like to do but you can’t seem to be able to do it with your ROV or the ROVs you have previously worked with?

Early this year I dived a Seaeye Falcon to 288 feet on a truck that went through the ice on a lake with its driver. (Minus 43 degrees celsius, -47 with wind chill)

The Falcon opened both truck doors (and I flew it into the cab and set it on the seat to look under the dash) in less than 15 minutes.

Subsequently attached a 1.5 inch recovery hawser to a stanchion on the truck for recovery and brought the drivers body back to surface.

This was with a single function manipulator.
