VideoRay LLC, a global leader in underwater remotely operated vehicle technology, is seeking a Technical Support Manager to manage, improve and expand our existing systems and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Prioritize and manage customer technical support communications
• Prioritize and manage customer equipment repairs
• Advise upper management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers
• Handle customer problems that appear to arise from the use of the product
• Work with Production to solve problems
• Lead and manage a growing number of world-wide VideoRay Authorized Service Centers
• Resolve complaints in a manner satisfactory to both parties
• Manage warranty and repair work and find ways to reduce costs
• Manage repair programs and services and increase profits
• Complete, maintain, and process pertinent paperwork and records
• Plan and schedule levels of support according to customer needs
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum of Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office products
• Experience using interactive Internet tools and applications
Skills:
• Ability to manage a global 24/7, “whatever it takes” organization to support customers with time critical and “money on the line” projects
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be innovative
• Understanding of automated and/or remote support tools and their applications
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers from all over the world
• Foreign language is a plus
