    Great website, it is interesting to look back at 2005 map to see where most of the pirate attacks were. They were mostly around the Malacca Straits, and Malaysia/Indonesia.

    I wonder what was done here that stopped those attacks, perhaps the same thing can be done around the "Horn of Africa" area.

    Malacca staits and Indonesia was cleaned up (almost) by the local governmens and law. Somalia is lawless so nobody gonna come and trash your village and make you run for your life and hide in the jungle for a few months that is if you was lucky enough to eascape the suprise police/army beat them up party. I suspect a lot of those small pirate boats never made it back to shore either.

    Somalia just needs a few more captains like the Indian skipper who blew one out of the water within a few days of arriving there, ironically Mumbai was attacked the following week.
    I bet Keira Knightly isnt likely to turn up either
