New to site so a big hello

Hi all

My name is Rick i am 33 and live in northlincolnshire UK, i have been flying rc planes and helis all my life but my ture pashion is subsea so think its time in may life to follow i live long dream and build my own ROV, got lots of ideas after a live time of watching everything subsea on the TV and hours of videos on youtude so if any one has any tips please pass them on.

And to all of you how use ROV for there work, a lot of respect goes out to you for your skill and control, and only wish i pick a diffrent job when i was younger.

Welcome to the world of ROV.

Building an ROV is a rewarding and ejoyable way of appreciating underwater robotics at a basic level. There are plenty of kits out there and plans…Let Google guide you. Try Interspec they may be a good contact.

I have flown RC since the late 80’s; planes, helis and now finally on the real hard stuff; F3F and F3J RC glider flying…give it a try…it’s a lot harder than having a brushless or Nitro engine to keep you afloat 🙂
Having hills for slope soaring (on the South of the UK) certainly keeps the grey matter acute with the hand/eye coordination and spatial awareness ability; all helps when offshore with our BIG toys 😉
