The Company
UTEC Survey Australia Pty Ltd, part of the UTEC International group of companies, is a specialized offshore survey company providing service in the offshore Geophysical, Geotechnical, and Construction markets.
The Position
Currently there are opportunities for qualified Hydrographic Surveyors and Survey Engineers to join our growing team in Australia. The positions are offshore based to support long term projects in Australasia and occasionally staff will be called to support operations at our Singapore, UK, and American offices.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Installing equipment and conducting system calibrations;
• Online survey planning and watch keeping;
• Acquisition and processing of surface (DGPS)
• ROV sensor interfacing and data logging;
• Multibeam and side-scan data logging and processing;
• Networking troubleshooting;
• Data processing, reporting and charting of survey results.
Skills & Experience Required
UTEC require energetic and positive minded people with the ability to independently problem solve and communicate well within a team environment. Additionally, applicants must have:
• Minimum 3 years previous offshore experience
• Applicants must be physically fit
• Willing to undergo (or have) Offshore Medical and HUET Training
• Formal degree qualifications / military service
• A keen team player with a commitment to safe work practises.
