ParticipantI think you should also point out that the company that requires personnel is Blue Whale the same that owes money to Rovtech and UKPS .

ParticipantSubman,
Comments?
Please get your facts correct, Im hiring and paying people
to my client Bluewhale. And if you would like to ask people in the industry if i pay
on time, start with Proffs and Subservpro. As for the 2 companys you are talking about, that is there
business not mine.Did the guys get paid by Rovtech and UKPS?
Because if not they are the companys in the wrong?Mad-dog

Participant1st: Bluewhale does not owe any money to UKPS (however UKPS may chose to interpret it) when two ROV pilots walk off the job without seeing it and do so at the airport with the client rep checking them in for the flight to the mob site its impossible to get the client to sign off on UKPS’s invoice. So look to the pilots for an answer as to why.
2nd: Bluewhale is SMD’s agent in China so of course they will owe SMD money from time to time. Currently its a small amount (US$20k) and its barely overdue.
If you are going to question Bluewhales reputation then get the facts right!March 18, 2007 at 6:35 am #10721Andy Shiers
ParticipantOut of curiosity , Who were the pilots that walked off the job ?
And did they have a plausable excuse ?March 18, 2007 at 11:09 pm #10722chen
ParticipantTell me if you think its plausible.
1. Unhappy about full offshore rate to stay in hotel for 3 days waiting for vessel to arrive.
2. Unhappy about being offered the oldest service in the world (after enjoying same service 2 days earlier).
3. Unhappy about weather being a little colder than anticipated.
4. Unhappy about being assured that Bluewhale would look after them after they left the vessel.
5. Unhappy about having to prepare dive log masters etc using computer with Chinese version of Windows (what did they expect in China?).
6. Unhappy about conditions on American boat before they saw it (they never actually saw it).No names (would you have me reveal yours in this circumstance?)

Gosh, and was their bath water a bit below temperature in the hotel? No wonder they left….
Christ, if only I could go on jobs like that (tho it was probably a bit under the rate in $, it would be a nice trip to the Far East)

ParticipantRay,
We pay north sea rates in China, in stirling.
Of course the vessels are a little lower class, but i have
to say there are worse in the north sea.
And in the 10 months i have been working and living
in China Bluewhale has taken very good care of me and
the guys that work for me.If anyone wants to find out what its like to work in China
send me your CV.Best regards Mad-dog
