Participantmmmmm Scott is really a good advert for the aisa market or is he keeping us tigers out?????
Alas, the tiger is out of the bag! Not all tigers dude, only half of them (the cubs)…

ParticipantAnyway all of us North sea tigers need to look elsewhere due to the amount of Brazillian, Austrailian and Polish Pilots moving in on our turf.

GuestHi
Lucky stay away from Asia, no good to much tax and sh.t day rateOctober 1, 2007 at 12:51 pm #13704luckyjim37
ParticipantI did a job on a vessel cable loading in Japan about a century ago ( 2001) but I was through Rumic on north sea rates.
Always thought about doing more but most of the companies seem to have aisian rates for all the expats who have no cost of living expenses out there

Lucky,
No your not the same guy. And yes, the rates are just under N. Sea (for some guys) and definitely a big yes to ultra low living expenses / zero (ish) toxins (excluding Oz of course).

ParticipantI am probably not as good as the guy you were thinking of anyway.
If the rates are lower that is no good for me with an ultra big mortgage and council tax bills

ParticipantI have checked out a few jobs last few days seems to be around about a £50 a day difference between north sea and some of the aisa jobs I seem to remember it being bigger than that a while back so things are slowly levelling out by the looks of it

ParticipantLucky,
Keep on trying and stick to the rate that YOU want. There should be a 30 – 40 pound difference only for the somewhat to medium experienced guys.
