A warning to all the guys desperate for a start. DO NOT BE SUCKED IN BY ALL THE BULL.
The ROV Hour Builder ran by Steffan Lewis of Remotely Operated Vehicle operation limited Fife. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH ROV OPS. is a total sham. Some facts that you may want to know before spending any money on hours that will mean absolutely nothing, at the time Steffan Lewis took 2.2k + expenses of my hard earned cash, in return he offered a reference from a reputable ROV company. Fact 1 the reputable company of which he’s a director had at the time never done a job. Fact 2 Steffan Lewis of said company had in fact appointed himself as ROV Supervisor/Trainer. When i looked into Steffans background it turned out that Steffan had only just been through the course at the underwater having never been offshore or even remotely involved with the ROV Industry. Fact 3 Steffans lack of experience coupled with a company with no portfolio of work means that any reference given would count for nothing. you can imagine that I am not best pleased but find myself in a predicament legally. So rather than spend any more money fighting the blagging little twerp in court, I thought i could put my energy into saving some fellow ROV chaps some money. Spread the word guys it really isn’t worth it.
