    Now Hiring: Subsea Robotics Mechanical Engineer
    Saipem America, a leading provider of construction and subsea engineering services to the offshore oil and gas industry, seeks to hire for the following position:

    JOB TITLE:
    Subsea Robotics Mechanical Engineer

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Daily work will vary greatly including design, support and project management of small Projects.

    Design:
    • Mechanical design of subsea structures
    • Design of robotic mechanisms
    • FEA analysis of structures
    • Hydraulic systems circuit design
    • Hydraulic Components and equipment selection

    Support:
    • Subsea robotic equipment and ROV production support
    • Test and Integration of new products assistance
    • Offshore support
    • Troubleshooting
    • Technical reports, commissioning manuals, operation manuals

    Project Management:
    • Small project related to subsea controls and robotics
    • Follow up of Suppliers

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
    • Two (2) or more years of work experience designing complex systems with mechanical, hydraulic, and control elements.
    • Demonstrates working knowledge of configuration control practices.
    • Demonstrates skills in verifying and validating complex systems.
    • Experience with industry safety/reliability standards,
    • Demonstrates ability to identify fundamental issues and technically review and provide guidance for complex problems.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates ability to develop and implement standardized design criteria.
    • System level design and process experience.
    • A firm understanding of engineering processes.
    • Proficient in Solid Works software for Mechanical Design
    • Proficient in FEA software
    • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills.
    • Schedule flexibility. Support outside normal operational hours is sometimes required.
    • The ability to travel as required. Significant travel is not anticipated.
    • Availability to travel offshore and overseas occasionally
    • MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelors degree required/ Masters degree Preferred.
    • Experience in offshore oil and gas industry, particularly with ROVs or subsea control systems.
    • Working knowledge of MRP and PDM/PIM systems.
    • Program or Project Management experience
