I have been looking at this site for a while and have a quick question about simulators.
I notice that there is a bit of information regarding simulators both in the software and more advanced trainers. And I know that a Sim can never give a true feeling of flying a ROV and the breakdowns and water conditions.
My question is, I am looking at starting a career offshore with ROV and I have the technical back ground, but if I have access to a good quality company ROV simulator can I get an ROV log from IMCA and log those hrs in it as Sim hrs. Or use the hrs in any way?
I know it doesn’t compare to proper flying hrs, just looking at anything that could give me even a slight edge to get in the industry.
