Never heard that SS7 were upping there rates – although from experince with SS7 and with others there is a negiotable factor in there for another 10 or 15 GBP a day.

Last I heard SS7 supv was around 400 and technip around 415. Top dog at the minute is rumoured to be TS marine paying around 430 for supv.

Hey comdup, did you ever get the supervisor position you were after.
Most of the companies I have been dealing with lately are in the 420
(or close, per day) bracket so I don’t think Subsea would be any different especially if they wanted good experienced people in this busy market, even Acergy who have been notoriously bad for the last few years are up in this bracket.

    😕 😕 😕

Guys (that means all who have contributed to this thread…),

I’m looking at the numbers you’re putting forth, yet, I don’t see them on the ROV Rates forum. For that matter, numbers even close to those you stated. Update anyone?????

Is it true Technip require their guys to pay for their own Medicals/Survivals and PPE etc etc??

Technip ‘old’ ROV Supervisor day rate (£402.64) was made up of:-

    Basic Rate:- £373.85 per day
    Holiday Rate:- £28.79 per day
Total Day Rate:- £402.64 per day

    PLUS the following:-
    1) Travel & Subsistence Allowance is £16.18 per day, for travelling to the ‘point of mobilisation and return’ as Technip call it.
    2) Training. medical, boots, dental & survival training allowance is £ 5.40 per day
    3) 10% extra bonus for West Africa (15% for Nigeria) on Basic Rate only.
    4) BUPA
    5) Pension = 3% (you) + 3%(Technip)

Black dog, WHERE do you get your info regarding technip ? You are way off mark.
I have never heard of items 3 – 5 except BUPA or equivalent when on salary, not day rate as you are quoting.

On salary the equivalent day rate for a supv is 420 and that is door to door. Survivals, medicals and boots etc and all travel are on top of the 420. Health care is also there but no pension and (as yet) NO extra for africa, whether it be nigeria or any other dark continent country.

Scotbeve, read the salary section for technip ! figures are not bang up to date but not a lot off

I think that should be kept in the rumour department.
