I’m just new of this world but i have alredy made the rov pilot course.
Before of this i was an engine cadet onboard of ro/ro ships.
i would to ask you just an information.
Anybody knows if i can join onboard like rov pilot only with the ukoaa medical certificate and the stcw ’95 basic training?
Things are changing on this, however at it stands right now…..
If you are working in the North Sea Oil & Gas sector you will need BOSIET…. Oh and most likely MIST (Minimum industry Safety Training). You can do both together.
Look at it this way.. the cost of the above palls into insignificance if not having them means you miss out on a job!
