    Slayered here

Do you work through Subservpro and if so is Subservpro a good agency to work for and is there enough jobs through a year. Is there any other bad things that I must know of them.

    Cheers

any other bad things that I must know of them.

They are forever contacting me to know if I am available.

    It’s just nonstop, I don’t know if I can handle it anymore.

whilst my opinion counts for f(ck all, I have worked with rob, claire et al for several years and never had to look for work myself.

They are excellent for prompt payment and have never given me cause for concern at any time. Also they are good for transport support over weekends.

    Thar ye go.

Speaking from experience having worked for a few agents over the years, I would say that SubservPro/Mayday Employment are good.
I would also go as far as saying that most agents are good. There is nothing that really makes Subservpro stand head and shoulders above any other job finder.

Like all other agencies they will:

    1. Pay you as little as they can, whilst charging you out at max.
    2. Try to hitch you up with companies to rake in a finders fee if the ongoing work is lean.
    3. Try treating you as more of an employere than an contractor.
    4. Back away abruptly as soon as HMRC investigate your tax returns, denying any employer liabilty, unless you are PAYE that is.

They do pay every two weeks if memory serves me correctly…which IS good.

Make sure like using any agent that you check ALL the small print.

The REAL answer to your post as far as ongoing work would be to speak to a few Ops managers, see how they rate them and the quality of their ‘on the books’ guys …now THAT would be interesting 💡

If you think that work trough the agency you (we) are underpaid and undercut that’s your problem.
    You get what you deserve!
Been the freelance allow you to choose for what kind of day rate you are willing to work.
As someone wrote here on the forum, for paying peanuts you get monkeys.
    So, it’s up to you…..!

You are suggesting that SubservePro are undercutting the other agencies and not paying the going rate.

Do you have factual information on this?

The last few jobs I have been on we have had Subserve pro guys and they only spoke good things about them, In fact if I was to go agency then I reckon I would give them a shout, I was with UKPS in the past but they were ok apart from forgetting that it us that pays their wages, and also taking off Employers national insurance as well as employees NI + Tax…
Also the rates the Subserve guys were on seemed on the ball….

I’ve started working through Subserv since March and having worked for all the usual suspects I am more than happy with them. Pay scheme is spot on. All the people in the office are plesant to deal with. Cant really fault them.
