Survey Engineers use ROVS?

Hi are any of you guys survey engineers or work for survey companies using ROVS? I was looking at a job advert for a survey engineer which involves maintaining ROVS and survey equipment and was wondering if this would allow me to get involved using ROVS? Also it does not mention pay but does mention offshore work so am guessing its a staff annual salary with day rates bonus, any ideas if this would be in line with subsea engineer’s or ROV pilots salary?

It’s rare but there’s talk of it expanding. Definitely one for the future. At the mo we just get in freelance guys and typically they’re from subsea inspection background

ha, i might let them change the beacons….but they generally dont like putting their coveralls on and going outside so I can’t see it taking off.
