Tritech Typhoon VMS camera

Hi everybody!

I have to use a Tritech Typhoon VMS camera on a Falcon.
About power and signal I don’t have any problem, but on the manual there isn’t any description to which is the best position for fix the camera on the Rov(vertical or horizontal). My task is take a pipeline meansures flying n the pipe.
Someone have a previous experience with this camera?
I tried to take some meansures, after the calibration, but I still have some centimeters of error.

What are you trying to do with it please?

If you are looking at non-planar targets I wouldn’t really reccomend it.

Thanks Savante for answer to me.
I have to take the meansures of the diameter of several pipes (maximum 18" and AC cable located on the seabed). These are non-plan target, but the client planned to take these meansures with the Typhoon VMS camera.
So you really don’t recommend me to use this?
It is used only for plan target?

If you need accuracy (why I don’t know in this case) – what you actually need for this job are four components;

1. A Savante LUMENEYE underwater laser;

2. a subsea video camera; either high definition or standard def is fine.

3. a rigid mounting bracket for holding both of them together.

4. one of our blackbox VOXEL laser-aided photogrammetry systems.
