The validity period for (Surface workers) offshore medicals varies depending on age:

Medical Type:
UKOOA/Dutch

Age Category / Validity
Up to 39 years / 3 Years
40 to 49 years / 2 Years
50 years and over / 1 Year

Medical Type:
Norwegian

Age Category/Validity
Not applicable / 2 years

Good info Gina, but can I add that if you happen to be offered work in the Danish sector, the UKOOA medical is only valid for 2 years, even for those of us who happen to be under 39 years of age (ehem ehem..)! So make sure of your dates to avoid dissappointment.

NORWEGIAN MEDICAL is valid for 2 years even after 50 years old !!
