As posted before, im a mechanical technician offshore working towards my level 3 nvq. I recently sent out a few emails to a couple of companies who where interested in getting my CV, in your opinion do you think im better off staying as a mechanical technician or swaping to be a rov tech/pilot?

    view points most welcome

    Dude,

Everyone else’e opinion does not matter, the question is what do YOU want to do, if you want to got for the pilot/tech job then go for it, you already have work off shore and keep doing it while you get the answers back from your emails etc. Nothing to lose mate.

    Good luck

    NLS,

As in any job move it’s a good idea to make a list of pros and cons and see which one weighs more. Good luck.

Due to the high levels of work in all fields offshore now is the time to test the water try something new if you don’t like it go back to mechanical engineering. That is the beauty of a busy market place.
