Aha, Mr lane,
I think our paths may have crossed in the past.
If you are said infamous Mr Lane, trainee from one of the agencies, then i fear you are maybe judging yourself a little too highly by merits of your recent posts, and you are maybe sporting a little more fart than poo poo, if you understand my direction.
If, like before, you ARE said Mr Lane, then I sincerely hope you have cured your aversion to putting on ones boilersuit and actually partaking in physical labour & manual graft on whatever ROV system& crew are unfortunate to have you dumped upon its goodself.
I also hope you have cured several of your "unknown" or "mysterious" illnesses on or around crewchange date, & my delicate fingers are indeed crossed that you are also cured of your your severe addiction to eBay and the fact you got ripped off on numerous occasions. (This generally happening when the rest of the crew are on deck amidst intensive repair or maintenance!)
Think before you type, slagging people off openly can cause you infinite problems as the offshore game, although worldwide, is rather insular & very quick in picking up names and capabilities, which frankly speaking, you only have a name and little capability if indeed you are aforementioned Mr Lane.
I wish you every success.
Boab
A very funny post, and very apt. I also had the experience of ‘working’ with andy lane last year, claims he’s a hydraulic tech ? my he hides it well ! Constantly late for shift, and do anything rather than get his hands dirty.
What also makes me laugh is that now he has been rumbled he is trying to deny he is himself. Why would a trainee take a trainee under his wing ? only the real Mr Lane would put that in print.
You could always change your name to your wifes maiden name to get work, you wouldn’t be the first. Isn’t that right Mr supanat.March 6, 2007 at 6:01 pm #9874Mike KiddParticipantWhat a knob
March 6, 2007 at 6:08 pm #9875SonyParticipantCarry on digging Mr Lane…
Plonker!
March 6, 2007 at 7:13 pm #9876therealMrLaneParticipantI’ve had enough of this. I am the real Mr Lane. I would like to know who it is thats been using my name to damage me and my reputation!
You may think that I’m not all that good, but I am a trainee. Com’mon give a guy a break. I don’t think that I’m all that though. I’ve read what ‘andylane’ has been saying for me and I would never puff myself up like that.
Who are you?

What a cock ! You only have one reputation, I didn’t think you could damage it anymore. But you live and learn !

Waht goes around comes around I believe is the way the saying goes.Totally agree cabledog, but I think after reading further posts by the ‘therealmrlane’ then just W*&KER in general would suffice. Maybe he will pop up next as ‘normanbates’

March 8, 2007 at 5:27 pm #9882piedpiperParticipantReverting back to the original thread, Technip have announced they are to set up a training facility in their base at westhill. This will have 2 new training ROV’s plus a state of the art ROV simulator. The first course is to commence mid 2007.
They also intend to open up training facilitys in Brazil and Asia Pacific with an ROV simulator in each location.piedpiper
