Hey – can someone explain to me the difference between aslaid and asbuilt surveys?

As laid is the actual operation survey present , For example The Pipe coming off the Barge or the cable being laid and you are following T.D
As built is the final survey done prior to leaving the worksite and signed off by the client or Insurance Rep
