Hi all.

Has anyone done any DOV work?

Is it any good?

Is it easier/harder to find work?

Is the pay better/worse?

I saw the term on the DMT site when looking for ROV work. It looks interesting, but far more dangerous than ROV, and you can’t get someone to help you with the flying if you get things wrong!

The other question is:- Is it worth going to the states to get a trainee position and how much paperwork is required to get work permits if required? (I’m in Scotland).

Had never heard of the term DOV, ahd to look it up on DMTs site. Its a manned sub, basically.

I dont fancy your chances, unless you are already an experienced diver. Most manned subs require or employ ex-divers to do the work.

It is alsy very specialised work so not so many jpb opportunities.
