Flywheel Diode

I’ve just noticed on opening the electronics pod on our ROV that there is a whirring noise.

My Supervisor tells me it’s the flywheel diode making this sound.

We have none spare, so I can check them out for myself.

Is there an RS part number for these Flywheel diodes?

You can sometimes get away with replacing flywheel diodes with camshaft position sensors.
