Tether termination JBs – advice required

Hi all
I am looking at ways of allowing the connection of a main lift armoured umbilical to a tms and if requried also direct into the rov for free flying.
( minimal excursion if needed in emergency )

I remember Slingsby had that sort of setup ( at least on the olympian i think )

It was basically two oil filled JBs with a mating plug / socket between which took power, day and fibres.

Does anyone know if this is still in use anywhere or if it is still on the market.?

Yes, it is used by Perry Slingsby Systems (Slingsbys).

It is also used on their Spartans.

Spartan was actually the one i was trying to remember !!! ( old age !! ).

Do you know if these type of boxes are available outside of Slingsby?

also meant to ask if you knew of "smaller" versions of this type of system as obviously the Slingsby items are pretty big.

What system are you using? I’ve swtched between TMS and sub with lift umbilical on Perry and SMD workclass subs with no hassles, just need two adaptors for different diameter umbilicals (tether and lift) to enable you to secure to term JB on the sub. All supplied with system by manufacturer.

No specific system in use, just thinking about possibilities to incorporate into a design to make things quick and simple in use.
