There is still a lot of work for ROV qualified ROV personnel, mainly IRM projects. So what is the lowest day rate you still accept ?

    …really -?-

    A lot of work -?-

Damn, I must be well unlucky then – I have 7+ years experience and came off my last job middle of August. Splendid

    😥

sounds like fishing for cheap personnel though pm`s……….I do it for less….

Definitely not living on the same planet, I am on. Same here, 5th of August off the last job, nothing since.

Even the agencies don`t know about these jobs, strange, strange. 🙄 🙄

    Just for example:
    http://www.rovop.com/news/3m-contract-wins
They have vacant positions for P/T, and Sup’s.
p.s. I am not affiliated with them anyway.

On their website right now under, for example, Supervisor:-

"Although we are not currently actively recruiting, our requirements change on a frequent basis. Therefore we continue to collate CVs and generate interest for when we do have any vacancies available. "

Yes Ray your right as I got this back last week from them as you can see they have nothing :-

    Thanks for your email.

Yes, we do still deal with freelance Personnel. However, unfortunately we do not have any vacancies available at the moment, and we are currently only utilising our existing personnel.

Should this change I will be in touch to discuss.

    Thanks

Still trying to figure out, what your agenda is?

Every man and his dog know, there is not much work around, redundancies are being made, and worst – it might go on for a while. 🙄 🙄 🙄

I would guess he wants to know how low he needs to go to undercut others to get work.

Funny how no one wants to answer that.

The answer is it depends on the need…

The greater the need, the lower we’ll go for.

At present I am gainfully employed so my minimum is what I am being paid right now. How much that is is none of your business.

I will say this, a friend recently offered me 875usd a day for a supervisor role and I refused. I forwarded the job to some of my other friends.

Also understand that I am at the top of the ROV ladder, I have a lot of contacts, experience and a good consistent professional reputation. I am also well situated which is another determining factor.

I am only sharing this so the more experienced guys out there can see their are still jobs that pay reasonably well and you should be patient and not undersell yourselves. Once the industry pics up again, everyone will be screaming for bodies.

If people go out for cheap then they are doing themselves and everyone else a disservice.

    Cheers,
    E.
