    …… and if you are a UK citizen a second UK passport, but generally that application needs to be supported by a company/agency covering letter/fax. This support would only come after you are employed which is not quite what this thread is all about.

    Just been reading application form and it would seem you have to have a job first to get a Seamans Discharge Book?

    or am I just misreading the form?

    Again often these are obtained with the support of an employer. You could add a job and then, if ever queried say it didn’t come off but you would need the book for future work of the same type.
