    A couple of things came to mind following the reading of this report.

    Generally Ive noticed that sometimes a stainless steel clip is used instead of seizing and mostly this is left attached after competion.
    The seizing should be done with soft Iron seizing wire to avoid disimilar metal reaction.

    The brooming of the end is a very important factor in the efficiency of the socket.Brooming should be done right down to the seizing wire in order to have an efficient end product.

    Reuse of sockets.Be careful of avoiding heating the socket as too much heat changes the characteristics of the metal.
