    I also have worked both, I agree trenching even using a ROV can be mundane but it can bite you in the arse if you do not pay attention, so i dont believe that Oil n Gas guys should look down on their cable brothers with disdain.
    I also agree that piloting a work class around a wellhead is much more fun.
    If i was a contractor and given the choice between a Transocean semi and a cable and wireless white ship, i think i would go with the one with the bar full of Tiger beer, excellant food and the chance of some shore leave in an exotic port, maybe wandering into a bar of ill repute.
    Oh they were happy times but all good things come to an end.
    So here i am
